The president of the Friends of the Museum association, Jean-Claude Lemée, presented the projects and took stock of the past year, during the general assembly.

The president recalled that an agreement was signed with the municipality and that significant work of sorting and storing reserves was done. He also clarified that in addition to our traditional events such as Museum Night and the Bean Exchange, on the ground floor, we now have a screen which provides various information on our collections

“We are considering a permanent exhibition on wood

As a Museum of , we have the obligation to update the inventory of our exhibited pieces”, he explains.

Attendance is up 14% compared to 2023. For 2024, we have just reached the figure of 2,900 visitors.

Jean-Claude Lemée spoke about the 2025 projects: We will continue our work on the inventory, ensuring the progressive digitization of each item presented.

The Genoist collection (planes) will find its place in the museum.

We are going to reorganize the rooms of the1is floor. The bean room will accommodate part of what is currently on display in the nursery room. And in the latter, we are planning a permanent exhibition on wood, including part of the plane collection, a clog maker's workshop, and interactive activities on woodworking. This is an important redevelopment for which we are already calling on everyone of goodwill. »

Temporary exhibitions

The temporary exhibitions in the tourist office hall will be set up for two months instead of one. We call on associations or collectives of artists in the sector,” announces Jean-Claude Lemé.

The new organization will begin in 2025 with the Blain Photo Club in February and March 2025.

The Gâvre artist collective will then follow. We are reserving the months of December and January to host the Christmas village designed by Philippe Grosseau .
