“The most beautiful test of my life” for Olivier Perreau

On a horse since his two years in Vougy, Olivier Perreau was very honored to be selected for the Olympic Games. “I participated in the most beautiful event of my life, of my career and it's true that it's an incredible feeling to bring home a medal” entrusts the one who has become team bronze medalistin show jumping, this summer.

After Axel Bourlon's Complicated Games

The slight disappointment among our athletes during the Games came from Axel Bourlon. The para-weightlifter did not bring home a medal from Paris despite his status as Paralympic vice-champion in Tokyo. It took him two months off to breathe physically and psychologically.. “There is a part of me that has turned off a little when it comes to competition. After that, there were a lot of doubts about what should we do? Are we getting back to the high level? Two weeks ago, I would not have had the same answer but now, by talking about it, and thanks to those around me, I can say that we are going to move forward, we are going to get back on the path training and we're going to meet in Los Angeles in 2028.

Loïc Vergnaud is looking for space for his trophies

He collects medals. Loïc Vergnaud, the para-cyclist collected two silver prizes this summer. That's five in total after the three from Tokyo. The one who likes to train on the roads of the Col de la du Sud via Renaison has, like his friends from Roan, received a local trophy. “I'm thinking about adding a few shelves at home because the medal boxes from Paris are huge compared to those from Tokyo. I think I'm going to add one or two shelves to put all the trophies.” The para-cyclist even made an appointment with his tattoo artist to inscribe the logo of the Paris Games on his skin, as he did after Tokyo in 2021.

The pride of Timothé Vergiat’s parents

Timothé Vergiat could not be in Roanne because of his daily life as a professional basketball player in the ADA club, but his parents were present to represent him. Very proud parents to have thrilled during these Olympic Games through their son's journey in 3×3 basketball. The French team won the silver medal. Passed by the Saint-Symphorien-de-Lay club and trained at the Chorale de Roanne, Timothé Vergiat was one of the architects of this French craze for half-court basketball.
