From November 9 to 12, the Paris-Marseille TGV line will be closed due to modernization work. A measure which will lead to some changes in Drôme.
The TGV line linking Paris to Marseille will be closed from November 9 to 12 to allow SNCF Réseau to carry out signaling modernization work. These will lead to several changes in the Drôme, including the passage of 70% of trains through the “Valence Ville” station.
Users of the Paris-Lyon-Marseille TGV line will then have to go to Valence-ville station to take their train on the “classic” line, and not to the usual Valence TGV station, indicates the Drôme prefecture in a press release this Monday.
Longer journeys
The travel time of TGVs on “classic” lines will be doubled. It will then take 5h30 to get to Paris from Valence, while the TER timetables should remain unchanged.
Between the South-East and other regions, certain services will no longer be provided, such as the connection between the South-East and Pays de la Loire.
