The “Aux Quais” tea room, newly opened in October in the old Étang-la-Ville station in Yvelines, awaits all passing gourmets and Sunday strollers to treat you to organic and local, all homemade.
An old train station transformed into tea room ? This is something to tempt us! It is within a building of the train stationÉtang-la-Villethis stop of the line L which connects the Saint-Lazare station to Saint-Nom la Bretèche, which we leave to rest after a stroll in forest of Marly. At the Quaysthis is the obvious name for this new place to take a break, opening in mid-October 2024.
At the head of this coffee shopwe find Benjamin, Lucia and Jennifer, a trio who had the ambition of investing in one of the old Yvelines stations. After having aimed to invest in the Noisy-le-Roi station, it is finally at the Étang-la-Ville station that they set down their suitcases.
Once you enter the station, you discover 2 rooms in a row. A large, long counter faces wooden tables along the wall. Two vintage sofas to rest on and a second discreet room make up this place of relaxation.
On the menu of tea roomthere are traditional coffees and lattes made with coffee from local roasters, and teas accompanied by pressed juices and hot chocolate. Good point for the oat milk cappuccino that we would have liked to be a little more generous.
The café offers a whole sweet range composed of cookies, cakes miscellaneous and cakes. Also salty with focacciaspies and other veloutés. We liked the ginger and walnut cake which is a bit of a change from carrot cakealso a la carte.
Located on the station platform, this coffee shop original is ideal for having your coffee with a sweet treat or your lunch or even your takeaway dinner. If you are ahead of schedule or have just taken a stroll at Domaine de Marly, it is an ideal place to eat good homemade products in complete peace. friendliness.
The location is currently open from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. but it will open very soon from 7:30 a.m. and last until 7:30 p.m. in the evening to satisfy Ile-de-France residents in transit looking for breakfast, morning coffee or food to take home.
