In all likelihood, the drugs came from a clandestine laboratory located in Belgium or the Netherlands. Initially placed in customs detention, the driver, a Moroccan national living in Spain, was handed over to the gendarmes of the Research Section, on instructions from the Vienna public prosecutor's office. On Saturday evening, his police custody was extended by 48 hours.

This can actually last up to 96 hours. From Monday, the driver should be presented to an investigating judge in who has taken up the case.
