Saturday evening was calm in the city. The only incident: firework mortars in Saint-Fons were quickly suppressed.
Mobilized after the violence of Halloween evening and the bus fires in Rillieux-la-Pape, the police were present in Saint-Fons at the end of the day on Saturday.
Around 7 p.m., they spotted a suspicious gathering on rue Emile-Zola. As they got closer, they were targeted by one of the individuals who fired a fireworks mortar. It was a 14-year-old minor who was arrested.
Due to his young age, he was not taken into custody. On instructions from the prosecution, he will be summoned later to explain his actions.
The evening passed peacefully as well as in Rillieux-la-Pape where the day before, two buses had been set on fire and barricades set up.

Friday evening was agitated in Saint-Fons, in the Arsenal district with fires from trash cans, cars and mortar fire. When the police arrived, around thirty individuals had thrown projectiles. The police had to use tear gas to disperse the crowd and to secure the intervention of the firefighters.
After these incidents, the anti-crime brigade (BAC) arrested three individuals placed in police custody.
