Jostling, punchesthreats. This was what Damian, a 34-year-old Polish man, did to his partner far too often. The Versailles Court sentenced him to 12 months in prison with a committal warrant.
The facts for which he was tried, Thursday October 31, 2024, took place between April 2023 and April 2024in their entirety in Guyancourt (Yvelines).
Blows of all kinds
The high point of the accusations came on December 3, 2023, when Damian grabbed the victim by the neck and forced her to sit on the sofa. His companion wants to leaveand takes his things out of the house to escape with them. Angry, Damian slashes the victim's mattress and destroys his box spring.
The insults fly, the blows too. Slaps, punches, kicks. The victim then has marks on her face, if we are to believe the photos she sent to investigators, which does not change the defendant's version of the facts.

The defendant was not at his first attempt. Earlier in the year, completely alcoholiche had slapped the victim in front of the latter's friends, in addition to the numerous acts of violence he committed.

The victim fights back
The victim no longer tolerated this violence, since she admits to having put a strain on him. stab on Damian's arm. An act for which the Pole did not file a complaint. “I couldn't take the insults anymore, he got angry at me for no reason,” the victim testified at the bar.
The 1is April, Damian sends voice messages to his partner, which send chills down your spine, in which he reiterates death threats. “I will burn you and your whole family, I will burn you all alive.”
“That day, with the alcohol, it was another me,” the defendant tries to justify.
A big drinking problem
If the victim was drinking regularlyhis consumption was in no way equal to Damian's. “We were beyond alcoholism,” says the lawyer for the civil party.
Before the Court, Damian explains that he stopped drinking since 1is September, when he started his new job as an order picker.
From this relationship, which ended in May 2024, a enfant was born a month ago. The defendant learned of the birth the day before the hearing, from his lawyer. At the helm, the young mother, who filed a complaint in June 2024, explains that she took the step above all for her child.

On probationary suspension, the Polish defendant has already been caught by the courts several times since 2018, solely for acts of domestic violence. In its indictment, the public prosecutor will describe “a particularly worrying profile, which lacks empathy”.
