What is the Rail Pass?

A simple, responsible and economical way to take the train to easily travel around France this summer.

It is a system in favor of the climate and the purchasing power of young people. It is also a tool capable of helping to promote and make accessible French heritage.

Who can benefit ?

All young people aged 16 to 27, of all nationalities. They will thus be able to travel unlimited on the TER and Intercités (outside the Île-de-France and Corsica region) for 49 euros per month in July and August. The regional TER trains serving Paris are included in the system.

How it works ?

Following an agreement concluded with the regions, the State will cover approximately 80% of the cost of the system.

Rail Passes will go on sale from June 5 via the SNCF website, the SNCF Connect application or travel platforms approved by SNCF such as Trainline.

The validity period of the Rail Pass is 31 rolling days (until August 31 maximum). For example, if you activate your Rail Pass on July 4, it will remain valid until August 3.

When purchasing a TER or Intercités ticket, the Rail Pass holder must provide their Rail Pass number, which will allow them to benefit from a 0 euro ticket.
