The French skater performed a magnificent free program on Saturday to finally win with more than 12 points ahead of his runner-up.
Clearly, he does best with his back against the wall. As during the Montreal Worlds, where he won his first career podium, the Frenchman Adam Siao Him Fa made a very good comeback during the French Grand Prix in Angers, Saturday November 2. By largely winning the free program (171.68 points), the double reigning European champion, only eighth after the short program, set the record straight and finally won with a cumulative score by 246.58 points, comfortably ahead of the Japanese Koshiro Shimada (233.84) and the American Andrew Torgashev (233.64).
The only man in the competition to place and succeed in two quadruple jumps, Adam Siao Him Fa was able to react after his failed short program the day before. To the magnificent soundtrack of the film “Dune” by Denis Villeneuve, the skater from Nice offered a lovely score for his new program, still in the experimental phase. He also fell only once, on a quadruple toe loop, which he attempted again and then succeeded a few moments later.
Adam Siao Him Fa, who also captivated the Angevin public with his famous backflip, now authorized in competition, won his third consecutive French Trophy and thus launched his season in the best possible way.
