The emergency rooms of Rambouillet hospital (Yvelines) will be completely renovated at the start of 2025. The Regional Health Agency (ARS) will inject nearly €2 million so that the hospital center can successfully transform the premises, which welcomes 27 000 patients adults each year.
Denis Robin, the general director of l’ARS Île-de-Franceconfirmed its support for this renovation of the emergency rooms, which are aging after twenty-five years of service and have been heavily criticized.
Differentiated circuits in transformed premises
« €1.8 million has been released to be able to launch this project, indicates the Rambouillet hospital center. As soon as the contract with the ARS is signed, at the end of 2024, we will launch the work. »
For several months, according to management, adult emergencies have been doing better. The team is complete (20 doctors and 40 paramedics and full-time equivalent) and a study was carried out to improve carewith differentiated circuits to reduce patient waiting times.
“The ambition is to welcome patients in better conditions,” explains Pascal Dufour, the interim director. The architectural project will make it possible to earn money2 by moving pediatric emergencies to the lower level to expand adult emergencies. »
New, more targeted spaces
Short or long circuits, depending on the severity of the conditions, seated or lying waiting areas… The work will also allow the creation of a family lounge to accompany the end of life with dignity. Another space will be created for trauma. He will receive children in particular in the so-called plaster room.
“The other important objective is to create secure offices for the reception and orientation nurse who determines the route that the patient will take upon arrival at the Rambouillet emergency room. »
“A strong act of the ARS”
The work, once started, should last nine months. This change in emergencies is for the management, as for the mayor Véronique Matillon, president of the supervisory board of the hospital center, “a strong act” of the ARS.
Denis Robin has in fact reaffirmed the absolute necessity of perpetuating a health establishment in Rambouillet “to meet the needs of the population of the territory of south of Yvelines and part of Eure-et-Loir”.
“The ARS will also financestandardization work electrical, on elevators, thermal production and the renewal of equipment,” said the management of the hospital center.
