A dead boar was left overnight from Friday to Saturday in front of the premises of a Franco-Turkish association in Saint-Usage (Côte-d'Or), an act “intolerable anti-Muslim” and falling under the «violence barbare»according to Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau.
The body of the animal was left around 11 p.m. “in front of the Franco-Turkish association where there is a mosque”in Saint-Usage, a village of 1,300 inhabitants near Dijon, AFP learned from the Côte-d'Or prefecture. The gendarmerie was immediately called to the scene and a judicial investigation was opened, it was specified.
Minister Retailleau raised the matter on Saturday morning on X, denouncing “an intolerable anti-Muslim act, two days after the attempted fire at the Amiens Mosque, for which an investigation is underway”. “I want to express to the believers in these communities my support and that of the State. Attacking places of worship is extremely cowardly and amounts to barbaric violence.”he added.
