Those who liked to explore its rooms, which have been abandoned for more than thirty years, in search of thrills, will be disappointed. The Château de la Pomponnette, located in Seine-et-Marne, in the Louis XV style, dating from 1863, was razed. The new owner of the premises decided to destroy it at the beginning of October, after the restoration project was estimated at four million euros, reports Le Parisien.
A Mecca of the Urbex

The owner, aware that the site had become a Mecca of the urbex, was concerned about his liability in the event of an accident and a danger order was issued by the town of Pomponne. If the procedures for the preservation of this ancient heritage were unsuccessful because it was not classified, remarkable architectural elements were removed from the site.
