Two men aged 34 and 36 were indicted for acts of torture and barbarity and attempted murder after having assaulted a 52-year-old man at his home in Montigny-lès-Metz, the Metz prosecutor's office announced on Friday.
“Seriously injured”
On the night of October 29 to 30, the police, requested by a neighbor alerted by screams, intervened in an apartment in a residential building in Montigny-lès-Metz, a town in the southern suburbs of Metz, reportsAFP.
This is where they rescued a 52-year-old man, “seriously injured”, showing in particular traces of burns on the flooring. The victim was hospitalized, but his vital prognosis is not in jeopardy. She has not yet been interviewed by investigators.
Already known to the courts
On site, the police also arrested the two attackers, who were therefore indicted following police custody and placed in pre-trial detention. They were already known to the courts for acts of violence.
The investigation was entrusted to the Local Judicial Police Service (SLPJ) of Metz.
