The health control in a supermarket in Noisy-le-Sec (Seine-Saint-Denis) turned into a fiasco. So much so that the prefecture pronounced the sentence on Friday October 25, 2024: emergency closure from the Tram Supermarket.
“A serious public health risk”
Two days earlier, the services of the Departmental Directorate for the Protection of Populations of Seine-Saint-Denis had noted “serious breaches of the rules of hygiene and general maintenance of places and installations”.
The inspectors noted in particular a significant number of mouse droppings, “very insufficient” cleaning of premises and equipment and even a “lack of traceability of foodstuffs”.
They add: “foodstuffs are handled in poorly equipped premises, difficult to clean and disinfect, containing a source of unsanitary conditions, which could be sources of contamination by pathogenic germs”. Complaints to which is added “the absence of the possibility for handlers of naked foodstuffs to wash their hands hygienically which, as a result, can be a source of contamination by pathogenic germs”.
The prefecture services conclude: “the continued operation of the establishment would pose a serious risk to public health”. In this context, it was therefore deemed imperative to proceed with the immediate closure.
