Imminent reopening for Ressac bridgelocated on the departmental road D589at the exit of Saugues towards Saint-Chély d’Apcher, in Haute-Loire. In fact, the rehabilitation work, which began during the summer and which was initially scheduled to end on November 15, is coming to an end.
The Department of Haute-Loire had decided on this major project with the objective of recalibrate and widen the roadway of the Ressac bridgeto allow two-way traffic. The bridge was therefore widened, with a width of 6 metersnow (compared to 4.70 meters previously), and wheel mounds of 0.40 meters on each side have been added.

It is the Sovetra company who has been operating on this site since August 26. Its teams were able to carry out the disbursement, installation of prefabricated slabsreinforcement, connection casting, before superstructure work, with the installation of retaining devices, waterproofing, borders and embankments on either side of the structure.
“Despite various rainy episodes, the construction deadline has, to date, been respected, with an imminent reopening of traffic,” indicates the Department of Haute-Loire. After the opening of the bridge, the work will continue with the installation of road surface which will be done in two stages: the first for the opening of the bridge, the next, in spring 2025, by the laying of a second “carpet” from the Ressac bridge to the crossroads towards Grèzes.
In total, the cost of this project amounts to 260,000 euros.
