ANALYSE – For his state visit to Morocco, which ended on Wednesday, Emmanuel Macron achieved the feat of taking three people convicted by French justice: François-Marie Banier (abuse of weakness), M'jid El Guerrab ( intentional violence) and Yassine Belattar (death threats).

Emmanuel Macron made the pass of three. Out of more than 130 members of the French delegation invited by the President of the Republic for his state visit to Morocco, which ended on Wednesday, the Head of State managed to take away three convicted by French justice: François -Marie Banier (abuse of weakness), M'jid El Guerrab (intentional violence) and Yassine Belattar (death threat). A presence – especially for the last – which caused controversy and overshadowed a good part of this important trip in more than one way.

It must be said that the president managed, once again, to surprise everyone by inviting a comedian-influencer suspected of having links with the Muslim Brotherhood and whose positions on secularism are questionable. Emmanuel Macron included him in the guest list knowing all this. It was even Yassine Belattar who reportedly advised the head of state not to go to the march against anti-Semitism…
