Mountain rescue teams were mobilized twice, Friday 1is November, in the Ubaye valley. Around 1:30 p.m., three soldiers from the Jausiers high mountain gendarmerie platoon (PGHM) were mobilized, by land, under the Chapeau de Gendarme sector via Enchastrayes – at the top of the slopes of the Super-Sauze station. They took care of a woman in her forties, suffering from elbow trauma while hiking. She was evacuated to the Barcelonnette medical office.

Then, around 2:30 p.m., a crew of two soldiers from the PGHM of Saint-Sauveur-sur-Tinée (Alpes-Maritimes) and a doctor went to the summit of the Grande épervière in Saint-Pons.

At around 2,800 meters above sea level, a couple in their fifties were exhausted and stranded. Unharmed, they were dropped off at the Saint-Pons aerodrome, with the support of the Maralpin Civil Security helicopter.
