An investigation was opened by the (Cher) public prosecutor's office after the death of a 13-year-old teenager on Monday evening. According to Bleu, which cites a press release from the Jacques-Cœur hospital, the family of young Israel tried to call the SAMU for the first time. They were invited to contact SOS Médecins for a consultation. Shortly after, the family called the SAMU, who finally decided to send a team from the SMUR and firefighters to the family's home. But it is already too late: Israel is then in cardio-respiratory arrest.

“He was still so weak”

An autopsy must be carried out to determine the exact causes of death. The hospital management expressed its condolences to the family and said it was at the disposal of justice. This Thursday, Israel's father, Apollinaire Tambu, testified on France 3 Center Val-de-. He says that his son had been feeling unwell since a fall during training on October 22: “ He was only sleeping. » The family took the teenager to the Bourges emergency room on October 24: “ The doctor prescribed an X-ray, we put a splint on his arm, another on his leg”as well as drug treatment. But “he was still so weak, he had difficulty walking. We thought it was because of the medication.”

The situation deteriorated on the evening of October 28, Israel felt very bad. “ I could see that the child was struggling. I called the firefighters, who gave me the SAMU”, who asks them to make an appointment with SOS Médecins in the night, explains Apollinaire Tambu to France 3. While waiting for the appointment at home, Israel becomes unconscious. The family called the SAMU at 10:10 p.m.: “ He had lost consciousness, he was not moving. I told them he was breathing. I couldn't say that my child was dead. » Help arrived at 10:30 p.m., but was unable to resuscitate Israel.

“We haven’t realized yet”

If he salutes the work of firefighters and police officers “ who did everything they could and (…) supported us that night », Apollinaire Tambu now wants “ understand the death of my son, let justice be done. This is a painful moment for us. We are experiencing it but we have not yet realized it. We have not yet accepted that Israel is gone “. A psychological unit has been set up and the Bourges Football Club will pay tribute to Israel, who played this sport, and has launched a solidarity kitty.

This case is reminiscent of another, which occurred on October 15 in . A 25-year-old woman died of meningitis after several calls to the SAMU. His parents filed a complaint, believing that his symptoms had not been taken seriously by SAMU regulations.
