A road accident occurred overnight in Tronquay, a town located a few kilometers from Bayeux. This Thursday evening, just before midnight, the Calvados firefighters were called to help four young people. Their vehicle, the only one involved, left the road on the RD73, the so-called Castillon road which cuts the Bayeux – Saint-Lô axis (RD572). The car fell into a ravine located below the road.
The results are terrible: two dead and two injured. Two young men aged 18, who were in the front of the vehicle, died. The two rear-seat passengers, both aged 16, were injured. They were transported in relative urgency to the Bayeux hospital center, indicate the Calvados firefighters.
Thirteen firefighters, from the Bayeux, Molay-Littry and Caumont-sur-Aure emergency centers, were mobilized as well as two SMUR vehicles.
The young victims are from the Bayeux region. The circumstances of the accident are currently unknown. The Bayeux gendarmerie company is in charge of the investigation.
