The Somme Department is currently carrying out road development to secure the entry and exit of the future Lidl (the same now also concerns the site of the current Lidl), on the RD920, at the entrance to Morisel (Ailly-sur-Noye side).

The mayor of the locality, Michel Van De Velde, explains that a curve is being created “ to break the straight line and thus slow down motorists “.

Alternating traffic is in place.

The road closed in this area for one night

The road will be blocked in the area in the sector, with a diversion put in place on this occasion, for one night from Tuesday June 11 to Wednesday June 12.

As for the Somme departmental council, we confirm: “ The entrance to the commune of Morisel via the RD920 coming from Ailly-sur-Noye has been under construction since February 2024.

Indeed, the municipality via the FDE80 carried out work to erase and strengthen networks on its entrance to the town between February and mid-April and the Lidl Group is also in the process of building a new store right next door of the one in service since the Easter holidays.

As part of the work to support and secure departmental roads in urban areas, the Department is currently working in front of Lidl. The operation will be completed at the end of next week. The road surface (deferred task) will be carried out on Tuesday 11/06 in the evening after the store closes.. »
