Culture: Witches Week celebrates female creativity

In , an unmissable event, which celebrates feminine culture, starts today: the Witches Weekorganized by the Carter Citythe rehearsal and recording studio dedicated to current music, in partnership with l’association ASSO SAFE 80. For its 6th edition, this initiative puts women in the spotlight by offering a space for expression, meeting and freedom over two weeks of festivities.

A cultural and committed event for women artists

Witches Week, which takes place from November 1 to 10celebrates all facets of female creativity, addressing the themes of diversity, solidarity and equality. This rich and engaged program includes a variety of activities: workshops, exhibitions, concerts, screenings, as well as meetings and debates to encourage exchanges and provide a platform for women artists. Visitors will also be able to enjoy unique moments such as happenings, readings, and theatrical performances.

Not to be missed: highlights and varied activities

Among the highlights of this edition, two feminist choirs will set the tone in music, offering a powerful and militant interpretation of committed songs. Visitors will also be able to participate in self-defense and capoeira workshopsdesigned to give participants the necessary tools to strengthen their self-confidence in a caring and inclusive setting. A film debate in partnership with the Amiens International Film Festival (FIFAM) is also part of the program, addressing social themes linked to the place of women in today's world.

For those who wish to bring back an original souvenir of this event, flash tattoo sessions will be offered. As for music lovers, numerous concerts will punctuate these two weeks, showcasing female talents from diverse backgrounds.
