It was around 7 a.m. this Thursday, October 31, 2024, when a armed attack took place in Saint-Priest, very close to Lyon.
According to information from LyonCapitalconfirmed by news Lyonand armored van was targeted.
Here's what we know.
An armed commando
The armored van from the Temis company was targeted around 7 a.m. near avenue Urbain Le Verrier, in an industrial zone close to the A43.
And commando composed of five to six people stopped the progress of the van using two vehicles, positioned to prevent the conveyors from escaping.
According to our information, the suspects then installed a explosive bread on a window of the targeted vehicle to force the employees to exit. We don't know if the latter was real or not.
And gunshot was also fired into the air.
No loot
In circumstances which remain to be clarified, the armored van could not be opened by the criminals who therefore left without any loot.
At least one vehicle was fire by the robbers before their escape in an attempt to leave no trace.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Significant police resources
Quickly, the interdepartmental direction of the national police (DIPN) of Rhône mobilized large number of staff in the area to try to find the perpetrators of this attempted armed robbery by an organized gang.
However, no arrest has not yet been carried out, says a source close to the investigation.
Observations were still underway at the site of the assault at 9:30 a.m.
