It is a legacy of the Paris Olympic Games. The Camille-Muffat aquatic center, where Olympic delegations water polo trained during the competition, will open its doors to the public on December 10, 2024, in (Seine-Saint-Denis).

A pool of Olympic dimensions

Apart from its official inauguration on November 6 in the presence of swimmers French Olympic medaliststhe complex will host open days on December 6 and 7, before opening to the public on December 10. From this date Albertivillarians will be able to access the facilities.

The aquatic center will be equipped with a swimming pool Olympic dimensionsnamely 50 meters in length and 25 meters in width. Thus, it will be able to accommodate regional competitions. In addition, thanks to these new facilities, the city of Aubervilliers will focus on learning to swim among the youngest. In the department, 1 in 2 children do not know how to swim when they enter middle school.

Despite the controversy between and , the city of Seine-Saint-Denis should inherit the prestigious Olympic swimming pool of Paris La Défense Arena (Hauts-de-Seine) in which the French swimmerLéon Marchand, ignited the competition with his exploits with his 4 gold medals.
