France is therefore now protected by an anticyclone, a solid anticyclone which will block the arrival of disturbances from the Atlantic. However, in autumn, the weather conditions do not automatically promise to be sunny. Indeed, high pressures tend to to trap fogs and low clouds in the lower layers of the atmosphere. The sun is not powerful enough to dissipate these phenomena.
On the other hand, where the sun will shine, the temperatures are expected to be very mild, even hot in places since peaks of nearly 25 degrees are expected in the southeast. The sun will definitely return to the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region after the bad weather over the weekend.

Nearly 25 degrees in the south-east of France!
The fogs and low clouds were numerous this morning and sometimes very thick. They will have great difficulty dissipating in places.
This afternoon, the gray weather will try to dissipate and some clearings should appear between Brittany, Normandy, the north-west of Île-de-France and the Belgian border.
The clearings look particularly good between the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, Alsace and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. On the other hand, stormy showers are expected in the departments of Pyrénées-Orientales and Aude.
Very mild temperatures
Peaks of nearly 25 degrees are expected in the south-east of France. Generally speaking, where the sun shines, great softness will prevail.
In detail, it is planned this afternoon 25°C in Ajaccio, 24°C in Marseille, 23°C in Bastia and Nîmes, 22°C in Montélimar, Nice and Limoges, 21°C in Clermont-Ferrand and Besançon, 20°C in Dijon, Aurillac and Strasbourg, 19°C in Nancy, 18°C in Paris and Reims, 17°C in Caen and Nantes, 16°C in Tours and Toulouse and 15°C in Brest.
Great sweetness again tomorrow afternoon
Fog and low clouds should be again very many tomorrow. These morning grays should persist for a good part of the day in the northern half. Temperatures are therefore expected to be milder towards the south of France, where more beautiful clearings should emerge.
In detail, tomorrow afternoon it is forecast 15°C in Brest, Cherbourg and Rennes, 16°C in Lille, Reims and Tours, 17°C in Nantes, Paris and Dijon, 18°C in Mulhouse and Lyon, 19 °C in La Rochelle, 20°C in Agen, Bordeaux and Grenoble, 21°C in Montauban and Montélimar, 22°C in Nice and Bastia, 23°C in Toulon and Nîmes and 24°C in Marseille.
These temperatures should remain approximately the same Wednesday afternoon with more gentleness in the southern regions of France.
