Christian Prudhomme will be in the Hautes-Alpes this Saturday. On the eve of the Tour de France, the director of the Grande Boucle is embarking on a rather special mission. Equipped with gloves and garbage bags, he will collect the waste left on the slopes and near the Joue du Loup ski lifts. An operation called “The last stick planted” organized by the ESF.

Le Dvoluy, land of cycling… but no waste

And the place was not chosen at random, of course, since Dévoluy will be the finish line on July 17 of the Tour de France. A collection also around the Mountain Riders association and the red ESF sweaters, true spokespersons for the mountains. “ They are sports educators, but also educators of the mountain environment,” insists Jean-Marc Simon, the general director of the French ski instructors’ union.

“We are lucky to have nearly 70% of our customers made up of children, who are very receptive,” J.-M. Simon
