Distribution of iodine tablets near the power plant of Golfech

Since last September, EDF and the public authorities have launched a distribution campaign for stable iodine tablets around nuclear power plants, particularly in Golfech in Tarn-et-Garonne.

As our colleagues on the site remind us Actu.frthis campaign aims to replace the tablets which are reaching their expiry date following the 2016 campaign. It concerns all people who reside or work within the perimeter of the specific intervention plan of 20 km around the power plant.

Where to get iodine tablets?

If you are one of the people affected by this campaign, simply go to a partner pharmacy. Stable iodine tablets are given free of charge to individuals on request and without proof. For collective requests, a voucher must be completed online.

People who still have the tablets distributed in 2016 in their possession are invited to drop them off at the pharmacy so that these tablets are destroyed and there is no confusion when taking them. The next distribution campaign will take place during 2026.
