Castelnau-de-Montmiral. CastelRoc: removable kitchen with a participatory budget in Tarn

the essential
The department launched its 3rd participatory budget with a budget of €1M, dedicated to associative projects. The Castelnau-de-Montmiral Festival Committee is proposing a removable kitchen project.

Until November 17, the Tarnais can vote on the department’s website for their 5 favorite participatory budget projects. Thanks to these votes, 33 projects will be declared winners and will benefit from funding by the departmental council. In Castelnau-de-Montmiral, the Festival Committee honors the CastelRoc Festival, organized every summer in August, and attended free of charge by an increasingly numerous and enthusiastic public. Nearly twenty musical groups are present, including several new talents on stage. This festival creates osmosis between the public and the sixty volunteers who work to energize the village, while promoting local musical wealth.

In an exceptional setting, the harmony of the festival also involves a quality catering service both on an eco-responsible and taste level (local producers, regional flavors, anti-waste, etc.) and on a functional level (preparation facilities for volunteers, reduced waiting times for festival-goers).

€20,000 hoped for

The objective of the Festival Committee’s project is to install a removable kitchen in a truck bed, allowing increased efficiency in preparation while promoting responsible eating. The total cost of the project amounts to €22,687. The amount of the grant requested is €20,000. The CastelRoc project hopes to be supported so that it is even more memorable and lasting. The project is classified in the Vignobles et Bastides canton, “Culture, heritage and attractiveness” section. Link to vote: The Tarnais Participatory Budget.
