My name is Félix Bérubé, I have 20 ansI am bilingual and I have a student job at the Ministry of Defense national (DND) since February 2024. I hold the position of management services agent in the management service offices of Quebec, in Valcartier.
Originally from Bas-Saint-Laurent, I now live in Drummondville and I study at the University of Quebec in Trois-Rivières (UQTR) in business administration, financial planning profile. Before heading into this field, I took courses in mechanical engineering at CEGEP. During my studies, I worked at Cascades, which allowed me to gain significant first professional experience.
I am passionate about sports, especially deck hockey and baseball. I also take advantage of the facilities at the military base as well as those in my city to practice my sports.
I applied for a job on the GC Jobs site to find my job. My role mainly consists of providing employees with the office equipment they need and assisting my superior with various administrative tasks.
My experience at MDN is extremely enriching. I found a work environment where camaraderie reigns, which allowed me to integrate well from the start. I regularly have the opportunity to participate in sporting activities with the military, which makes my job even more stimulating.
What I particularly like about DND are the many career opportunities available to me. Also, I enjoy dek hockey games with my military colleagues. For the summer season, my work takes place exclusively in the office, which involves frequent travel between Drummondville and the Valcartier base, an experience which adds a dynamic dimension to my daily life.
This summer, my goals are to develop my network, meet new people, and discover opportunities that will help me build my career within DND and beyond.
