National President of Rural Coordination, the third French agricultural union, Véronique Le Floc’h was passing through Deux-Sèvres on Saturday October 19. Around twenty people came to meet him on Yann Benoist’s farm, based at a place called La Colonie in Luché-Thouarsais, near Thouars.
One more step in the vast campaign she is leading across France, to call on farmers to mobilize for their future. “I came to tell them that it’s worth fighting, there’s no point waiting for solutions from politicians or the FNSEA… If we don’t take charge, the dizzying fall will worsen”she warned.

Véronique Le Floc’h also has very harsh words towards the food industry: “Farmers have suffered many constraints over the last thirty years, today we are in the wall! We are losers, consumers are losers, the State is loser… The only winners are the industrialists, who make enormous profits. We want to live from our work, don’t let anyone tell me that Lactalis can’t pay us! »
