CITATIONS

“I have said it often: we must innovate to build more and better, especially in the context of the housing crisis. This collaboration with Bâtir son Quartier and its partners is further proof that our government is taking concrete action, along with municipalities and local stakeholders, to better house Quebecers living on a low or modest income. We continue to innovate and offer new solutions to build more, faster and better. »

“The City of Montreal is committed, with the various levels of government, developers and community housing organizations, to doing everything possible to create new non-market housing units. The new Loger+ strategy is concrete proof of this. With measures such as the transfer of priority land to non-market housing, the establishment of an administrative standard of 120 days for the issuance of construction permits for projects as of right, and my establishment of a fund of $3 million over three years to cover project start-up costs, Montreal is taking action to make things happen. »

“The diversity of projects presented today clearly demonstrates the capacity of the community housing sector to meet the needs of Montreal households. Housing cooperatives, new resources for people experiencing homelessness, housing for families, seniors or low-income women, all of these projects provide housing at an affordable cost in the long term, in a supportive and inclusive environment. Thanks to the financial support of the Government of Canadathe Government of Quebec and the City of Montreal, our team works closely with cooperatives, non-profit organizations and all our partners to carry out these real estate projects that change lives. »
