The New World Philharmonic Choir • Basses-Laurentides, directed by maestro Michel Brousseau, invites you to an exceptional concert of French music on Friday, June 14, 2024, at 8 p.m., at the Sainte-Thérèse-d’Avila church.

This concert will feature two masterpieces from the 19th century repertoire: La Messe solennelle de Saint-Rémi by Théodore Dubois and the Requiem by Gabriel Fauré, accompanied by the Cantique de Jean Racine by the same composer. A festive musical evening bringing together more than 160 artists from the SPNM, with guest soloists: Emmanuel Hasler, tenor, and Alexandre Sylvestre, bass-baritone.

Marking the 100th anniversary of the deaths of Dubois and Fauré, as well as the 25th anniversary of the Société philharmonique du Nouveau Monde, this concert is also part of the festivities of the 175th anniversary of the founding of the City of Sainte-Thérèse, city of art and culture.
