And yet, in September, the Île-de-France Region voted for a motion of censure against the LNPN. An affront to the mayor of Vernon (Eure), François Ouzilleau, who declared to our colleagues: “In line with our transpartisan letter addressed to the Prime Minister, I called for a tougher standoff with Valérie Pécresse so as not to let her personal political interests bury a project of national interest. »

The various right-wing elected official also recalls that “The New Paris-Normandy Line is essential for opening up our territory, for the attractiveness of our businesses and for the comfort of our commuters. We cannot abandon it out of political weakness. »
Thus, this Monday, during the Normandy Regional Council, François Ouzilleau submitted a motion in favor of the New Paris-Normandy Line. Motion to vote which had already received unanimity among elected officials from Vernon three days earlier. For the moment, the railway project is still at a standstill.
