Little Grégory’s affair remains one of the greatest French legal mysteries. On October 16, 1984, Grégory Villemin, a boy only 4 years old, was found lifeless in the waters of the Vologne, his hands and feet tied.

This tragedy deeply shook and captivated the attention of the media, due to the complexity of the case and the numerous areas shadows that still surround it today. Despite multiple investigations, interrogations and hypotheses, the identity of the murderer remains a mystery.

Tiphaine Auzière says more about the identity of the culprit

Invited by Cyril Hanouna on the set of Don’t touch my post this Thursday, October 17, 2024, Tiphaine Auzière, the daughter of Brigitte Macron, shared her point of view on this crucial point.

For her, “This is the absolute drama in this affair. We don’t know, but we think we know, we believe we know, some know it and don’t say it. That’s the difficulty… when justice is not done, it gives way to revenge“.

Let us recall that Jean-Marie Villemin, the father of little Grégory, killed his cousin Bernard Laroche in 1985. He was convinced that the latter was involved in the murder of his son.

Laroche was arrested as part of the investigation, after testimonies named him as a suspect, but he was ultimately released due to lack of conclusive evidence. Overwhelmed by pain and anger, Jean-Marie Villemin then made the decision to take justice into his own hands.

There was a murder, slander, rumors“, assured the lawyer before concluding: “Judicially speaking, it is impossible to say who killed little Grégory. I hope that one day justice will be served to him and his parents.

Jean-Marie Villemin with open heart on the assassination of Bernard Laroche

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the death of his son, Jean-Marie Villemin spoke in the pages of the comic strip Gregorypublished by Les Arènes on October 3.

In the preface, he notably returned to the murder of Bernard Laroche. “We were in this tornado, like children crushed by grief. I broke down, I took my cousin’s life, I will forever remain a murderer. I regret it so much“, he wrote.

Revenge is not a solutioneven if you are convinced that you are facing the man who kidnapped your son, the man who you think was his executioner… Because you have to live with that weight afterwards. I have matured, I have learned, I have calmed down and I know the price of pain and tears“. A moving testimony.
