Sunday October 20, from 9:30 a.m. to noon and from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Hostellerie de La Bruyère, the Culture and Leisure association of Chalvignac is organizing the seventeenth edition of the Book Fair.
Noëlle Basset, president of the Culture and Leisure association of Chalvignac and the volunteers will welcome this year, authors in almost all literary genres, with the added bonus of the participation of the Cant’as lu bookstore. On the stalls will be books on local produce, police investigations, poetry, books for young people, history books, science fiction and sports books. Local, regional and national authors will travel to interact with their readership. Each of them will bring their personal touch, thus offering exceptional literary richness. The objective of this show, in the face of “all digital”, is to promote reading through a physical medium: the book.
A workshop led by Didier Dominguez
As guest of honor, Annie Stone, the singer from the 1970s when she formed the famous musical duo Stone and Charden which enjoyed significant success in France. Today an author, it is under the name Annie Stone that the star has written several books. During the show, she will present and sign My furry loves! et My life in every direction .
Another distinguished guest, Didier Dominguez, will this year be the godfather of the show. Author specializing in children’s literature, he mainly writes books for hospitalized children. During this show, he will provide his help and support to the Autour des Williams association. Didier Dominguez will donate part of the sales revenue to this association. In addition, he will host a coloring and drawing workshop for children throughout the day.
More than thirty authors will also be present to sign their books and several publishing houses will be represented.
The Chalvignac Book Fair, organized this year at the Hostellerie de La Bruyère by the Culture and Leisure association, is much more than a simple book exhibition. It is a day dedicated to meetings, exchanges and discoveries. While strolling past the different stalls, visitors will be able to purchase books signed by their favorite authors and chat with them.
