(Keystone-ATS) The 27 member states of the European Union are in favor of a new “urgent” law on immigration in order to “accelerate” the expulsions of irregular migrants, they announced after a summit in Brussels .
The European Council “invites the European Commission to submit a new legislative proposal” as an “urgent matter”, according to conclusions adopted during this summit bringing together heads of state and government.
