The objective of this visit was to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two customs institutions. On the agenda of the discussions between the two (02) Directors General were the facilitation of cross-border trade, the fight against trafficking of all kinds, the safeguarding of good neighborly relations between the two countries as well as the prospects linked to the construction of the Bridge. by Rosso.

As such, a project to create juxtaposed checkpoints has been selected and experts from both parties will work on its materialization.

The two CEOs also went to the base of the company responsible for the construction of the Rosso Bridge. On site, they were given a presentation of the project and its progress. They therefore took note of the efforts and complaints made by the company with a view to better handling of the customs facilitations necessary for the execution of the work.

It was at the end of a full day tinged with cordiality that Dr Mbaye Ndiaye took leave of his colleague from Mauritania to return to the left bank of the Senegal River and continue his inspection tour which led him, in turn, in the administrative regions of Louga, Saint-Louis and Matam.
