DR Congo plays against Senegal on June 6 in Dakar, then against Togo on June 9 during the 3rd and 4th days of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. This Monday, coach Sébastien Desabre announced the list of 25 players chosen for these matches.

In this first gathering since the CAN in Ivory Coast, where the “Leopards” obtained a respectable fourth place, Desabre will have to face the loss of his main attackers Cédric Bakambu and Silas Katompa, both of whom withdrew. However, three recruits are welcomed into the team.

According to Afrik Foot, the DRC will welcome central defender Axel Tuanzebe, 26, former English U21 international, who plays for Ipswich Town. Also entering is the young 19-year-old midfielder Noah Sadiki from US Saint-Gilloise (D1 Belgium). Originally from Brussels, Sadiki decided to join the “Red Devils”.

Finally, Samuel Essende, a 26-year-old striker trained at PSG and who currently plays for Vizela (D1 Portugal) with 15 goals scored this season, brings his contribution in attack.
