Rabat – Morocco will host the 2024 edition of the African Women’s Champions League from November 9 to 23, 2024, the Confederation of African (CAF) announced on Wednesday.

In total, eight clubs will compete to win the title of this edition, specifies CAF on its official website, noting that six zonal tournaments were organized in order to qualify six teams, in addition to the host and the title holder.

These are AS FAR (Host – winner in 2022), Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa – Title holder), Aigles de la Médina (Senegal – UFOA A), Edo Queens (Nigeria – UFOA B) , TP Mazembe (DR Congo – UNIFFAC), Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (Ethiopia – CECAFA), University of Western Cape (South Africa – COSAFA) and Tutankhamun (Egypt – UNAF).

Morocco’s hosting of this competition follows the successful organization of the CAF TotalEnergies 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which was also a resounding success, welcomes the umbrella body of African football.

Morocco had already had the honor of hosting the 2022 edition of the women’s LDC, the most important women’s club football competition in Africa, the same source recalls.
