The Club de Triathlon Waïméa of Lunel organizes the 3rd edition of Bike & Run the October 20. A competition that mixes running and cycling, in pairs. Registrations are already open.

Cohesion and team spirit are the key words of this day. The Bike & Run is a duo event where both partners share a bike. Over a given distance, everyone alternates between running and cycling, and swaps bikes as they see fit.

Program of the day

This event is included in the official calendar of the French Triathlon Federation (FFTRI) and respects the rules of the federation under the supervision of the regional referees of the Triathlon League. Here is the program for the day:

  • 9h30 : Departure from Bike & Run Sportif (16 km) for ages 16 and over, done in two loops.
  • 11:00 a.m. : Departure from Bike & Run Enfants (2.5 km) reserved for 8-11 year olds.
  • 11:30 a.m. : Departure from Bike & Run XS Familial (8 km) accessible from 12 years old.
  • 12h00 : Podiums with many prizes to be won

The main routes run along the Lunel canal via Chemin des Cabannettes to Saint-Nazaire-de-Pézans. The return is via a lightly used road (chemin du Mas de Gamundi), then via the cycle path near the Lunel fire station. Registration prices are between 10 and 14 euros per team:

  • Bike & Run XS Familial : €14 per team of 2.
  • Bike & Run Sportif : €18 per team of 2.
  • Bike & Run Enfants : €10 per team of 2.

Online registrations are possible until Friday October 18 has 23h30 away dedicated site. For latecomers, it will also be possible to register on site, 1h15 before departure of each race, within the limit of available places.
