Diourbel, May 17 (APS) – The fourth edition of the digital show “Baol digital show” started Thursday on the theme: “Digital technology, a solution to eradicate youth unemployment in Senegal”, noted the APS correspondent .
“We have just effectively started the fourth edition of the Baol digital show, with training for young people from the Diourbel region in digital professions,” explained the show’s engineer, Ismaila Fall.
Developer, web designer and digital referent, Mr. Fall reveals that this year 500 young people will be trained for four days in the digital marketing, community manager and multimedia professions.
According to him, the objective of this fair is to give young people and entrepreneurs in the Diourbel region the opportunity to benefit from the advantages of digital technology to boost the business of small businesses on the one hand and to bring out the potential of young people through social media, on the other hand.
He says he is convinced that digital technology can absorb a good portion of young people looking for work.
Having come to chair the opening ceremony of this digital fair, the general director of youth at the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture, Alassane Diallo, magnified the initiative of organizing a digital fair to allow young people to this region to benefit from the advantages of digital technology.
He believes that this type of meeting can be a channel for raising awareness among young people on how they should use social networks, emphasizing that there is a lot of potential to be drawn from digital technology.
