SENEGAL-ECONOMY / Casamance: an agreement signed to help businesses formalize – Senegalese press agency

Ziguinchor, May 15 (APS) – The firm of the approved management center (CGA /digital) signed, Thursday, an agreement with twenty-two companies in Casamance operating in the sectors of processing of local products and agricultural production, with a view to enabling these structures to have good, reliable financial and accounting information.

This agreement is signed through the Ziguinchor upgrade office (BMN).

“As part of this agreement, we will support these Casamance companies to help them formalize themselves, to have financial statements to facilitate access to financing but also to benefit from financial and non-financial support”, explained the president of CGA/digital, Babacar Diagne, at the end of the signing of the agreement.

“We are going to provide these companies with instruments that will allow them to monitor financial and commercial transition and to have an eye on management and accounting,” he said.

According to him, “these entrepreneurs will now have results through their smartphone which will allow them to make appropriate decisions for the development of their businesses”.

“This technical assistance will aim to enable these companies to have good, reliable financial and accounting information which will allow them to seek financing from the banking sectors,” explained the director of the BMN of Ziguinchor, Fatou Diallo Ba.

According to her, “CGA/digital has a platform that will allow these companies to collect information remotely and move towards better financial inclusion”.

Ms. Ba recalled that the upgrading office will cover 90% of the amount of this technical assistance and companies will have to pay 10% of the investment.

“She is a technical assistant who goes beyond support. It will allow these companies to better structure themselves, formalize themselves and be able to seek financing from the banking sectors,” said Fatou Diallo Ba.
