Preserving small municipal heritage is a priority for municipalities. The help of the Community of Communes of Oise Picarde makes a major contribution to this.

The Oise Picardy Community of Communes (CCOP) (formerly the cantons of Froissy and Breteuil and the commune of Oroër) created a competition fund a few years ago for small municipal assets.

This fund makes it possible to finance, up to a certain threshold*, part of the work undertaken in the municipalities of the territory for the restoration of a calvary, a painting, a well, a door, a cemetery wall…

During the last community council on September 26, delegates from the 52 municipalities endorsed the new files presented by six municipalities.

The region will also provide aid for municipal heritage

For Jean Cauwel, president of the intercommunal structure “ we can rejoice in the existence of this competition fund.”

The day before, the man who is also regional councilor for Hauts-de-, had participated in the region’s presentation of financing for small assets. “These funds can be combined with other funds”.

Good news for the mayors of the region who will be able to continue to safeguard their little local treasures.
