It is now an unmissable event on the calendar of the Thierville Closed Educational Center.

Indeed, like every year, the CEF opens its doors to sell ornamental flowers, vegetables, plants and herbs grown by the young people who occupy the structure managed by AMSEAA (Meuse Association for the Safeguarding of childhood, adolescents and adults).

“And at unbeatable prices,” promises Hocine Belkacem, the center’s director. “It’s something that was initially set up for the residents of Thierville and that we ended up opening to everyone. »

“Everything is ready to be transplanted”

Equipped with a “professional and heated” greenhouse, the CEF effectively allows young people to cultivate the flowers, vegetables and plants that will be offered this Thursday, May 16. “Tomatoes, cucumbers, geraniums, eggplants, melons, butternuts… Everything is ready to be transplanted,” lists Hocine Belkacem.

The money raised will then be used to carry out a charitable action as the CEF has already done for the benefit of the neonatology department of Verdun hospital, a nursing home or even caregivers during the Covid crisis.

Open days at the CEF, Thursday, May 16, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
