At Pre Klara Pósfay-Barbe becomes medical director of the University Hospitals of Geneva (HUG). She succeeds P.r Arnaud Perrier, who will retire at the end of the year.

Full professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva (UNIGE) and head physician of the HUG General Pediatrics Department, she was appointed to this position on Thursday, during an extraordinary meeting of the HUG Board of Directors. .

This appointment marks a historic turning point, since the Pre Pósfay Barbe becomes the first female doctor to head the Medical Directorate of a university hospital in Switzerland.

Laurence Bézaguet has worked at the Tribune de Genève since 1995. Started his career at Courrier before working for six years at the daily La Suisse. Was also an independent journalist for eighteen months in Canada and wrote a book on the Crossing of the Harbor, published in 1996, with former State Councilor David Hiler. More info
