There were people and movement in front of the Saint-Paul Parknear , in the Oise, this Tuesday October 8 2024. But the ride enthusiasts were replaced by emergency services, firefighters and even police who were present en masse with their vehicles at the entrance to the site.

An unusual event, which intrigued many motorists. Rest assured, it was only a training exercise. But a large-scale exercise!

A simulated attack

The exercise, organized by the Oise Prefecture, focused on the management of a “mass killing” with the simulation of an attack.

The different services, responsible for ensuring security or the judicial investigation, then worked hand in hand in conditions close to real, in this park which thought big for the Halloween season.

To “test the security devices”

Among the 350 people mobilized in all, some played the role of terrorists and victims.

This scenario was based on an attack by several armed terrorists. Around 350 people played this exercise: 150 false victims and 200 gendarmes, firefighters, deminers, SAMU personnel and volunteers from civil security associations.
