Ontario Ministry of Health says four people fell ill after eating beef tongue contaminated with the bacteria Listeria.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is recalling beef tongue jelly sold in various stores in Ontario.

Some products were pre-packaged and others were served by a clerk.

The CFIA is investigating and warns that other products may be subject to recall.

Customers who have purchased it should throw the product away or return it to the store.

The agency warns that contaminated food doesn’t necessarily look different or smell bad, but it can still make people sick.
