The semi-finals of the Coupe de la Haute-Loire take place this Sunday, May 12 with Monistrol-Brives at 2:30 p.m. and Velay FC-Blavozy at 5 p.m.
The last two finalists and two last winners will try to meet for the final on June 15 which will take place in Blavozy. Blavozy, the defending champion, will inevitably want to play this final at home and achieve the double. The Carriers will have to win at their neighbors Velay FC in Polignac. Velay FC gained momentum in this competition, first facing District teams before qualifying in the quarterfinals at Sucs and Lignon. Velay FC remains in search of its first trophy since the creation of the club. Will 2024 be the good year?
Monistrol and Brives, for whom their destiny in the championship is not yet sealed, and will have to shine to maintain their position, will first concentrate on this cup. Advantage to Monistrol, winner in 2022 and finalist in 2023, who has often shone in recent seasons against Brives. And the USM will have the home field advantage.
Also to be followed this Sunday are the semi-finals of the Reserve Cup at 2:30 p.m. with the Blavozy-Monistrol and Velay FC-Sucs et Lignon matches.
