In his eyes, the WHO “should limit itself to what it was in the past, namely an organization which provides information to Member States. During the Covid-19 crisis, information from China and Italy finally circulated well. However, they have been manipulated to create exaggerated fears among the population.” And Markus Zollinger added: “The WHO should in no way issue recommendations that quickly become guidelines. It should also not become the main body for managing a pandemic. Nor is it appropriate to seek to financially strengthen the WHO.”

“Became very autocratic”

President and founder of Mass-Voll, Nicolas Rimoldi is no less vehement: “With its pandemic treaty and the IHR, the WHO wants to determine the health policy to follow. She wants to impose her truths on us. It’s not acceptable. As former Federal Councilor Ueli Maurer himself pointed out during a Friends of the Constitution event in Aargau, there was in fact no pandemic. I am personally campaigning for an abolition of the organization which has become very autocratic.”

However, the WHO has precise criteria to determine whether there is a pandemic or not. With Covid-19, it quickly became obvious that the term was well chosen, with SARS-CoV-2 affecting a large part of the world population on several continents. Co-director of the Global Health Center at IHEID, Suerie Moon disagrees with this vision of the WHO: “No investigation team will be able to spontaneously go and investigate a country affected by a new epidemic. As for the WHO’s ability to impose lockdowns, it does not exist.”

Nicolas Rimoldi, who notes that he almost lost his sister and his mother due to anti-covid vaccines, underlines this. “We are in contact with anti-globalization parties from Bulgaria, Hungary which are each the third force in their national parliament and other parties throughout Europe. Our movement continues to grow. We are organizing two new events, on May 25 in Bern and June 1 on the Place des Nations in Geneva.”
