The mercury rose this Friday. Temperatures even exceeded 30°C in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques and the Lot, without however breaking records, according to data from weather stations distributed by Météociel. These will still be high this weekend, everywhere in France, before the arrival of storms. Saturday is expected to be the hottest day of the week.

In Banca (Pyrénées-Atlantiques), a maximum temperature of 30.5°C was recorded this Friday, ahead of Saint-Gladié (Pyrénées-Atlantiques, 30.3°C) and Lagor (Pyrénées-Atlantiques, 30.3°C). ). 30.1°C was recorded in Soorts-Hossegor (Landes).

In Landes, Dax and Mont-de-Marsan recorded a maximum temperature this Friday of 29.7°C and 29.4°C. Albi (Tarn) recorded a temperature of 28.1°C. Not far from there, Bordeaux recorded a temperature of 27.4°C according to data from Météociel, based on all stations in the country.

Generally speaking, the entire country recorded “severe” heat this Friday, far from the records for the month of May – temperatures exceeding 36°C were recorded in the Landes in 1996. In Paris, this Friday, a temperature of up to 25.5°C was recorded. Many parks were also stormed.

This good weather coincides with the Ascension Bridge, which allowed many French people to leave for a few days or at least to take advantage of non-working days. Saturday and Sunday mark both the continuation and end of a period of weather with clear skies and unseasonably high temperatures. At the end of the weekend, the weather will turn to rain and storms from the southwest of the country.
