Colas wins the contract for a High Level of Service Bus line for the Lyon Metropolis

Sytral Mobilités, the transport union of the Metropolis, has retained a group composed of Colas (agent) and two of its subsidiaries, Perrier (earthworks) and Aximus (urban construction site marking)to carry out the construction of a High Level of Service Bus (BHNS) line connecting Lyon Part-Dieu station to the Sept Chemins crossroads in .

One line, one length of 7.7 km, including (5.8 km of new infrastructure)which will notably cross Lyon 3rd, , Vaulx-en-Velin and Bron and will serve 16 stations.

The works, of a amount of €61.6 million (including €52.5 million for Colas). will begin mid-October for a period of 31 months and will involve up to 250 employees.

THE Colas teams will pool their resources to carry out VRD services and in particular sanitation, massifs and multitubular networks. The group will implement solutions aimed at reduce the carbon footprint of operations, in particular through the use of clear permeable coatings based on biosourced binders.

Work on occupied site and integration

As the project is located in the heart of the Lyon metropolis, the group will pay particular attention to the reduction of transport flows and their optimization. THE Delivery needs will be coordinated and travel streamlinedallowing the maintaining the circulation of buses and soft modes throughout the duration of the work and thus preserving a satisfactory living environment for local residents, users and employees while guaranteeing their safety.

Finally the establishment of a partnership with several integration companies (including the Maison de l’Emploi) will allow many people in difficulty (long-term unemployed, people in reintegration, etc.) to readjust to a professional environmentfor a total of 27,000 hours of work completed.
